10 xmas challenges to ASD kids

I think it's quite a challenge to ASD people as they don't like a big fuss abt anything , so Xmas becomes a big deal & it's always a challenge when it comes to deco & special foods, hopefully this time around it'll be a quiet time(usual faces). Thanks to Lynne & Schudio TV for the presentation. You always make us feel at ease.

Thankyou for such a sensitive and practical guide to this years festivities both in school and at home. Forewarned is forearmed. I found many of your points applied to myself during the festive season. I am secretly glad to be at my own home in a 3 person bubble. The whole Christmas thing' is overwhelming to an autistic child of primary age and I wish I had had your tips and advice earlier in my teaching assistant career. This year may even be more overwhelming as the festivities and hype have started earlier than usual. I much prefer to listen to the voice of the speaker as I find it less pressurised than having to sit in a room full of others and take notes. I can pause, consider, rewind to listen again to points again and listen to the course at my own speed and time. Thankyou for another brilliant and informative course. I always recommend you to colleagues.

I found this course very informative and it makes total sense as to why autistic young people and adults find Christmas time, and the run up to it such a struggle. I am really interested to see how our more vulnerable children will cope in school this year with things being so different due to Covid. I am hoping that it will be a much calmer and fun time for them with less demands such as Christmas plays and pantomimes etc.

I thought it it was useful, I have worked with Autistic people for over twenty years and always am learning it simple but we can easly forget well put together course. thanks you
