About Your Instructors

Esther Green

Esther Green qualified as a Children and Families Social Worker in 2002 gaining a Master of Arts Degree in Social Work at South Bank University. She has worked as a Local Authority Social Worker and Senior Practitioner for a number of years and has extensive experience in frontline child protection social work. Esther also has Early Years Professional Status and co-founded Little Rascals Nurseries LLP. Esther is a trained PAMS assessor and currently undertakes a range of work as an Independent Social Worker, trainer and advisor for the Independent Safeguarding Hub. Esther has facilitated multi-agency safeguarding training across many agencies including education, early years and health services and in recent years Esther has also been offering consultancy and advice on safeguarding and child protection issues.

Claire Humber

Claire Humber qualified as a Social Worker in 2002 with an MA in Social Work. Claire has worked as a front line social worker, since qualifying in London and then moving into the role of Advanced Practitioner, then Practice Manager. Claire has extensive experience of working with children in need, safeguarding and children looked after. She has a keen interest in assessment work and has completed parenting assessments for both pre-proceedings work and those directed by the courts. As a consequence Claire is accomplished at giving oral evidence in a court setting. Claire has a particular interest in Resolutions work when there is a child with a suspected non-accidental injury. Claire has completed the foundation year in Systemic Family Therapy at the Tavistock Clinic in London and plans to complete her training as a Systemic Psychotherapist.
