Lynn's Story
I’m Lynn McCann and I’m the specialist teacher who loves to support anyone to understand their autistic, ADHD and PDA students
Reachout ASC is a team of specialist teachers with many year’s experience and expertise. We work with children of all ages, making school better for them.
- We understand what teachers are going through because we have all been there, in the classroom, and understand all the pressures and targets that are put upon you.
- We know you are not given enough training to support all the student’s needs in your class.
- We understand parents because we are parents of autistic children and children with other additional needs.
- We understand our students because some of us are autistic and some of us have ADHD.
- We understand what our students are going through because we make our first priority to listen to them, giving them the communication tools they need to be able to tell us what school and being autistic is like for them.

Excellent information and knowledge
Have learned alot about Down's syndrome, also known as trisomy 21, is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of a third copy of chromosome 21. It is usually associated with physical growth delays, mild to moderate intellectual disability, and characteristic facial features.Trisomy 21 means there’s an extra copy of chromosome 21 in every cell. This is the most common form of Down syndrome.

What is Down's Syndrome
This course pointed out that although Down' s is Syndrome is a genetical problem it is not the fault of the individual. They too can become very successful as any other person and also live independently as anyone else. It also tells us that they are also socially accepted and can lead their live s as anyone else. The course was well set out and informative.

really helpful
The presenter is really knowledgeable, with a can do attitude regarding helping people with DS to achieve their potential. It provides a great overview. It would be interesting to have some more specific guidelines , but as we are dealing with individuals, I suppose you have to take each case as it comes.
